Rules

Posted on October 15, 2023

General rules

1. Exploiting & Cheating

This is classed as using a bug, exploit, and/or external menus to get an advantage on any game servers that someone without the exploit or bug would not have.

Respect

All players are expected to treat all others with respect. Harassment, discrimination, toxic behaviour, or other intentionally disruptive conduct will not be tolerated.

3.Self-promotion

This is promoting anything unrelated to the server. This includes but is not limited to other servers, Discord servers, YouTube channels, and Twitch streams. If you wish to promote anything connected with the server, open a staff ticket in Discord.

Alt accounts

The use of alternate accounts on the server or Discord is not permitted. Any alternate accounts may be permanently banned, and your primary account may also receive disciplinary action depending on the circumstances.

Fivem roleplay rules

High Standards of Roleplay

All players are expected to maintain a high standard of realistic and immersive roleplay at all times. Actions should make sense for your character, fit the situation, and contribute positively to the roleplay experience. Trolling, unrealistic behaviour, or intentionally disrupting scenes is considered Failure to Roleplay (FRP) and may result in punishment.

Banned Roleplay

The following forms of roleplay are strictly prohibited unless prior approval has been granted by server management:

  • Any roleplay intended solely to shock, troll, or make other players uncomfortable
  • Suicide Roleplay
  • Self-Harm Roleplay
  • Erotic or Sexual Roleplay
  • Corruption Roleplay

Character Separation (No Item or Knowledge Transfers)

Each of your characters must be treated as a completely separate individual.

You may not:

  • Transfer money, vehicles, weapons, properties, or inventory items between your own characters.
  • Use another player to transfer assets between your own characters.
  • Share information learned on one character with another.
  • Use criminal knowledge on a police character or vice versa.
  • Every character must build their own story, relationships, reputation, and possessions independently.

Metagaming

Using information your character would not reasonably know through in-character roleplay is prohibited. This includes information obtained through Discord, livestreams, videos, social media, or conversations outside the server.

5. Powergaming

Powergaming is forcing unrealistic actions, abusing game mechanics, or preventing fair roleplay. Examples include:

  • Performing actions your character could not realistically accomplish.
  • Using emotes or commands to simulate equipment you do not physically possess.
  • Abusing animations to gain an advantage.

Failure to value your life

Your character should value their own life. If you are placed in a situation where resistance would realistically result in serious injury or death, you are expected to comply where appropriate instead of making unrealistic escape attempts.

Logging out mid-RP

Logging out, disconnecting, or otherwise leaving the server to avoid or interrupt an active roleplay scenario is strictly prohibited.

Cop Baiting

Cop baiting is the act of intentionally provoking, harassing, or attempting to attract law enforcement attention without a valid roleplay reason. Roleplay involving police should develop naturally and be based on realistic character actions rather than solely seeking a chase, pursuit, or confrontation.

  • Examples of cop baiting include:
  • Repeatedly committing minor offences solely to attract police attention.
  • Driving recklessly around police vehicles with the intention of starting a pursuit.
  • Intentionally provoking officers through unrealistic behaviour with no roleplay purpose.
  • Continuously returning to police scenes to interfere with or disrupt ongoing roleplay.
  • Criminal activity should have a legitimate in-character objective and not exist solely to generate police interaction.

Criminal/Civ Rules

1.Hostages

  • You may have a maximum of one hostage for every three criminals involved.
  • Hostages must remain within 0.5 in-game miles of the crime scene.
  • Hostages may not be taken across the map simply to facilitate another crime.

Crime Limits

A maximum of five criminals may participate in a single criminal activity unless explicit staff permission has been granted.

Killing

Players may only be killed when there is a valid in-character roleplay reason. Random killing or killing without meaningful roleplay leading up to the incident is prohibited.

Police Rules

Duty Status

Police officers must remain on duty at all times while playing on their police character. Officers are expected to perform the duties of their role and should not use their police character for personal gain or activities unrelated to law enforcement.

Professionalism

All police officers are expected to maintain the highest standard of professionalism at all times. Officers should treat members of the public and fellow emergency service personnel with respect, remain impartial, follow departmental procedures, and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values of the Police Department.

Student Officer Training

Student Officers are required to complete their probationary training programme within two (2) months of joining the Police Department. Failure to complete training within this period, without prior approval from Police Command, may result in removal from the Police Department.
